UNDERSTATED CHRONOGRAPH

The Portofino Hand-Wound Monopusher features a sophisticated single-action mechanism that allows the user to record times up to 60 minutes. The chronograph push-button is an integral part of the crown and at first glance virtually unnoticed. To start, stop or reset the chronograph, all the wearer needs to do is press this single multi-functional button. When the button is pushed for the third time all the chronograph displays are reset to zero. The outstanding feature in the 59360 calibre is the new chronograph mechanism, now mounted on the movement side. The owner has the convenience of a 192-hour power reserve that guarantees accurate running for 8 days before it automatically stops.

The power remaining can be read off on the power reserve display on the dial between “8” and “9 o’clock”. The subdial at “12 o’clock” shows the minutes recorded by the chronograph while the seconds can be read off from the central stopwatch hand. In combination with the small seconds at “6 o’clock” and the date at “3 o’clock”, this gives the dial a pleasing equilibrium. The Portofino Hand-Wound Monopusher is available either in white gold with a slate-coloured dial and grey alligator leather strap from Santoni or in an 18-carat red gold case with a silver-plated dial and brown Santoni alligator leather strap.
