With the Portugieser Yacht Club Worldtimer on your wrist, you can keep track of different time zones even out on the high seas.
Each of the 12 place names on the external city ring represents a time zone.
The imprinted glass on the back of the case shows the different time zones and provides initial orientation.
The timepiece is available either in a stainless-steel case with a slate-coloured dial or in red gold with a silver-plated dial.
The Portugieser Yacht Club Worldtimer helps you to keep an overview of the various time zone above the clouds or on the open seas. The dial shows current local time. If in the course of a journey the wearer crosses one or more time zones, the time can be turned back or advanced in one-hour steps to show the new local time, even when crossing the International Date Line. The date simply moves in sync with the jumping hour hand. Once set correctly using the crown, the 24-hour ring running around the dial enables the wearer to read off the time in all zones, including UTC (Universal Time Coordinated). To make it easier to tell the difference between daytime and night, the 24-hour ring is divided into black/white or blue/white sections. Each of the 12 place names on the external city ring represents a time zone. If local time is changed on the dial, the time shown by the 24-hour ring remains unaffected and the movement continues to run during the change. On the back of the watch, an imprinted glass shows the northern hemisphere with its various time zones.
With the Portugieser Yacht Club Worldtimer you have a perfect overview of the various time zones, even when your travels take you beyond the International Date Line. The peripheral 24-hour ring is set once to current UTC using the crown and then continues to run independently of the local time.
