IWC Opens in South Coast Plaza

Southern California welcomes a new boutique to its sunny shores

Date — 13 December, 2012

Share:

Home to some of the most luxurious beach resorts in the world, Orange County, California, is also the location of South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, which represents the highest concentration of design fashion retail in the United States.

The latest addition to this luxury shopping mecca? None other than IWC Schaffhausen.

Joining IWC’s existing Beverly Hills boutique, the new IWC boutique at South Coast Plaza opened to further serve the brand’s esteemed Southern Californian clientele, providing 5-star customer service to those who are accustomed to purchasing their watches before hitting the beach for some weekend surfing and adventure.

Once you’ve spent an afternoon enjoying the unparalleled IWC experience at South Coast Plaza, it’s time to explore the rest of Orange County, and IWC’s South Coast Plaza Boutique Manager Andrea Szerdai is here to assist. Whether you’re already visiting or simply planning your upcoming holiday to Orange County, Andrea’s tips will ensure that you have the type of experience you’ve grown accustomed to as an IWC man.

IWC Schaffhausen’s Orange County Escape

Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel:

Situated atop a 150-foot bluff overlooking the ocean, the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel provides the perfect backdrop to any SoCal vacation or weekend escape. The hotel’s understated elegance should appeal to any IWC man looking for just the right mix of luxury and adventure.

Salt Creek Beach:

Residing on the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, Salt Creek Beach is an under the radar surf spot, perfect for those looking to hit the waves alongside local legends such as Donovan Frankenreiter, Wade Goodal and Tom Curren. The Ritz also offers a SoCal Surf Experience package for both seasoned and amateur enthusiasts. I suggest checking out the IWC Aquatimer collection prior to putting on your wetsuit, as it never hurts to know how long you have until happy hour after a long day of riding the waves.

Monarch Beach Golf Links:

One of only a few ocean courses in Southern California, the Monarch Beach Golf Links were designed by master architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Designed in the layout of the traditional Scottish links tradition, golfers are treated to sweeping views of the sea, as well as a par-70 championship course.

Studio:

Having one of the most extensive wine lists in all of Southern California, diners can expect to choose from over 2,500 wine options, at this ocean-front eatery. Led by Chef Craig Strong, the restaurant was awarded 5-stars for culinary excellence by Forbes.

Aquatimer Family

The Aquatimer line embodies four decades of experience in the development and production of professional diver’s watches. Among other things, the patented split-minute function and the mechanical depth gauge wrote watchmaking history.

Bruce Jones Surfboards:

Owned and operated by its namesake, Bruce Jones is known for his craftsmanship and dedication to surfing: he’s the man responsible for the Vardeman Surfboards’ Jackie Baxter models, which to this day are considered collector’s items for their speed and superb nose riding abilities. Located at the former site of Ole Surfboards, this site has been in continuous use as a surf shop since 1965. Bruce’s love of his craft reminds us of our IWC watchmakers, who are constantly innovating while maintaining the history of the watchmaking.
