Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has secured a partnership with Universal Pictures for “The Bourne Legacy”. The film hits theaters on August 10, 2012. Through this partnership, IWC reinforces its reputation as a trailblazing brand, celebrating its passion for film-making.
The narrative architect behind the “Bourne” film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $ 1 billion at the global box office. The writer / director expands the “Bourne” universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner), whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films.
An Engineering Legend Hits the Theaters
The watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen enjoys a worldwide reputation today, continuing the legacy of the American watchmaker and engineer Florentine Ariosto Jones, who founded the business in 1868. As the Engineers of Fine Watchmaking, IWC creates men’s watches that meet the highest technical standards, and has been developing iconic Pilot’s Watches for more than 70 years. IWC has a longstanding passion for filmmaking.
Not only does IWC cultivate longstanding personal relationships with several international actors, film directors and producers; but it has also produced a number of its own film projects with some of its Friends of the Brand. Additionally, IWC watches have been featured in Hollywood movies and US TV series. “The Bourne Legacy” hits theaters on August 10, 2012, and IWC is proud to be a part of this cinematic milestone.
