Hong Kong, 18 October 2012 – IWC Schaffhausen opened a new boutique in the Mall at Pacific Place – an iconic address in Hong Kong. Following the success of the IWC 1881 Heritage Flagship Boutique and its unique design concept, the new boutique provides yet another opportunity for customers to experience IWC’s fascinating product families in Hong Kong at one of the world’s most luxurious shopping destinations.
Located in the heart of Hong Kong, the new IWC boutique at Pacific Place is integrated in a modern commercial, retail and hospitality complex showcasing innovative architecture and contemporary luxury. “These surroundings provide a perfect new home for IWC Schaffhausen’s exquisite timepieces”, says IWC CEO Georges Kern. “Conceptualized by our own interior designers, our boutiques establish a generous and emotional ambiance, which represents the company’s spirit and philosophy.”
A unique design concept
The design concept of the new, 52-square-metre boutique unites the distinct architecture and styling of the six product families – Pilot’s Watches, Portuguese, Ingenieur, Aquatimer, Da Vinci, and Portofino – within one corporate bracket representing the brand. From the worlds of aviation to navigation, IWC’s timepieces come to life thanks to dedicated showcases where clients can experience the stories around the products through artefacts, pictures, books and media. Two distinct moods are created with the use of material: The technical mood represents IWC’s engineering heritage and is translated into shades of white, grey and black with accents of brushed and polished metal; while the warm mood in the lounges represents the product worlds of IWC and is brought to life through different shades of wood, soft rugs and fabrics,
as well as through chrome accents.
A new home to exclusive timepieces
The exquisite ambience of IWC’s new boutique goes along with high-quality service to exceed customer expectations and create a unique shopping experience. Another major attraction for visitors and watch aficionados is the range of editions exclusively available in IWC boutiques. With full attention given to detail, quality and craftsmanship, IWC’s timepieces have found a suitable new home in one of the world’s most luxurious shopping destinations.
