The Swiss watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen opened a new boutique in the International Finance Centre mall, a highly prestigious business location and home to international luxury brands as well as hospitality and financial institutions.
The new ifc boutique offers yet another chance to enter the fascinating worlds of IWC’s watch families and to discover the masterpieces of haute horlogerie at its finest.
“The unique design concept of this new boutique in Asia mirrors the distinct architecture of IWC boutiques worldwide and marks another milestone of IWC’s watchmaking heritage,” comments Georges Kern, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen. Located in the central business district of Hong Kong, the ifc mall, epitomizing the pulse of the city, has long been considered as one of the world’s premier shopping destinations. The ifc towers visualize strength and integrity in the classic skyscraper tradition, and accommodate thousands of visitors daily for both work and leisure. This landmark and its surroundings offer an ideal new home for IWC Schaffhausen’s exquisite timepieces.
The design concept of the new, approximately 35-square-metre boutique offers a specially dedicated space for each watch family – Pilot’s Watches, Portuguese, Ingenieur, Aquatimer, Da Vinci, and Portofino. The striking facade invites guests to explore the worlds of aviation and navigation, and the journey goes on upon entering the boutique: the customers can explore the stories behind the timepieces, showcased with hand-picked accessories, books and pictures. The emotional, warm ambience is underlined by the use of dark woods, soft rugs and exquisite chrome materials, blending the shades of white, grey and black.
