Hi Thomas...
I was one of the first to get one in September 2005. I wear it about 2 days a week, both on a suit or even jeans. Alhough I have rather small wrists, the 43 mm diameter is a perfect size for me because its a relatively thin watch due to its handwound movement.
The dial is not so 'lively' as the 5001 Port.Automatic which has applied numerals, but the Jones is a very classy and versatile watch with the blued hands and white/ivory dial! I also LOVE these colours with the light brown strap! The movement is also great, almost a shame that that side is on the wrist ;-)

Thanks Bob...
I appreciate your input. I don't know why but it always helps me to know how other enthusiasts think about their watches and wear them. I'm trying to decide between the Jones and the Port Automatic and I love them both. I love the size and color combo on the Jones but the Port. is also cool but a little smaller...I just don't know.
What are your thoughts on that and do you know which is more expensive? Thanks in advance.
thanks,
julie

...it was produced in 3 versions: stainless steel, rose gold and platinum. You can still find it on this site under the 'collection' part.
I"ve seen sufficient Jones' being available throughout Europe at dealers, I guess it will be the same in other regions too.
It's a great watch, the pictures are of my Jones in steel! Best regards,
Bob

As for new - possibly at an AD - maybe ask the distributor in your country to help.
There are some on the secondary market, but as ever buyer beware.
A fabulous piece...
Very best
matt
having never seen one in the flesh, without going into pricing how does the ss fa jones compare with the ss 5002 - cheaper and if so, by how much?
thanks,
julie

Thanks for sharing those photos Bob; it makes me want one. When did you get yours? and how often do you wear it?
Thanks and Merry Christmas!
Tom
