Greetings!
It is that time of year again-- I have to clean out my desk. I wanted to give my fellow forum members an opportunity to win some of the duplicate items I have accumulated this past year. it is my way of saying thanks to all of you. You make this a fun and informative place to visit.
Besides the IWC items that plan to give away, I have accumulated a lot of foreign currency.
Here is what I found in my desk this morning--47 JPY, 41SEK, 48.75 CHF, 8 GBP, 38 SGD, and 23.09 EUR. How much money based on today’s fx rate in $US have I tossed in my desk? The first person to come within $10US of how much this is worth will be sent an IWC 2008 Catalogue.
I know there is a second contest going on and I planned to post my “summer” picture but I am not feeling too energetic today. The person who can come the closest to guessing the physical location (geographically) where my summer picture was taken will receive an IWC hat. If by some miracle someone can read my mind and guess my location “spot on”, they will get a pair sterling silver IWC Big Pilot Cufflinks.
One day should be plenty of time but if nobody guesses by this time tomorrow, I will try to think of some other way to give these cufflinks away.

I got $128.39 . . .
but your call puts you well within the $10 limit. You missed your calling. Maybe you should have been a currency trader!
Since you already have a catalgue, let me see if I have something else that might be a good prize for you.
I hope your are still enjoying your original Da Vinci. In my opinion, it still is one of the most under appreciated watches to come out of Schaffhausen.
As for your guess of Sweden, I am not going to say right now .:o)

Hello Stephen,
I know banks/websites have different rates and I tried to accomodate this change by giving a US$10 spread. To further complicate things, the rates change by the minute. You will have better luck "reading my mind" and guess where my picture was from than than to get the sum right to the penny--at least with one guess.
Anyway, since I am paid in US$, I am happy to see the dollar rally a bit based on your conversion. I might be able to buy some more watches!

Money is nice, but I have a better idea.
If you truly wanted to give my fellow forum members an opportunity to win some of the duplicate items I have accumulated this past year, I'd be happy to take one of those duplicate Portuguesers off your hands! :-)

I am looking for a specific landmark. By the way, I don't expect anyone to read my mind.
