Hi All, I'm Cristina from Rome.
It's my first time in this forum after I received, as birthday present, my first IWC, a Mark XVI.
I always looked at IWC as my favorite watch company, probably because of my boyfriend Roberto (flyrobyfly) who always talks about IWC and talks and talks...
My passion for IWC has grown after our visit to Geneva last January for the collectors forum meeting, where I had the pleasure to meet some of you.
After that journey I started talking about IWC and talk and talk, I guess Roberto had no other option but to buy myself an IWC to make me stop talking.
Yesterday was my birthday and, with some surprise, I received this beauty, a Mark XVI.
I would like to say hello to Michael, all the forum members, especially those I met in Geneva.
A special hello to Jim and Dorothy I met a week ago in Rome (so nice to meet you!), Natassa and Arigiris, thank you for calling me yesterday and for wishing me Happy Birthday.

Christina, congratulations on your Mark XVI....
It is nice to see you here on the Forum. I looked for some photos of you and Rob in Geneva, but could not find one to share. I trust you will be a regular here with the rest of us who are also afflicted with the IWC virus.

Welcome and some advise....
make sure that Roberto understands, that when it comes to the watches, what yours is yours - and his is his - certainly when it comes to wearing these great watches - so please ensure that flyrobyfly understands the rules. That Pilot looks absolutely great on your wrist - and you should keep it there :~)

I found a picture from Geneva ....
of you and Rob at dinner. I believe you were suffering form another virus that night....common cold virus. At least the IWC Virus makes you feel good, not the reverse.

Your birthday, and that wonderful watch: enjoy! And of course for appearing at this forum, I hope you enjoy it as we all do.
Kind regards,
Paul
What you do may not be so important, but it is very important that you do it well. (my variation of a saying by Gandhi)
