Nos. 1 and 2 for me --
Can't find a decent strap in my area that I would want to change with the original. I work in an A/C'd office all day, so its no big deal. The only time I won't wear mine is playing golf, but that's no good for a PPC anyway!

Hmm, I rinsed my mouth, with coffee
I thought I might provoke some of you, quite intentionally, to make sure that a clear point-of-view could be taken. Although I admire those who break maybe silly conventions just for the fun of it, my actions (and those count) are quite careful. My Portuguese watches will keep their leather straps. No. 2 is my choice, but I learned here that no. 1 is not too bad either due to the quality of the straps. Well done!
Kind regards, Paul, wearing steel VC Portuguese, with its nice black croc strap

5, 2. Call me reactionary>
Dear Flyrobyfly:
I take your point about the Portuguese tradition calling for a leather band. On the other hand, the Mark series, I believe, started out as strap-only and only later embraced steel bracelets--which may be less traditional but seem to be widely accepted these days. So tradition need not be unbending.

I do find watches on bracelets to be more comfortable in summer than watches on straps.

And if it is too hot or wet there's rubber!
You have so much rain in NL Paul...No wonder it is green everywhere!

Cheers from Isobars.
I have never worn watches with leather strap in summer, so much better to wear a wonderful ocean bund both with titan or velcro strap....
