A "jump to 1st unread post" would be really helpful, as Alan has already said; also I echo his idea for a "return to index" or "return to sub-forum" button at the bottom of each page.
There's too much use of the "back" button on the browser or starting again by pressing "collector's forum" at the top of the page.

I think Paul's idea of reversing the order of the posts or simply showing only the posts that have not been read is a good one. What I have been doing is going to Index, then clicking on Unread. Then choosing a topic. If there is only a couple of posts in the topic, no problem. But if there are four pages of posts I have to guess what I last read , go to say page 3, then scroll until I find what I want. Then I have to scroll back up to Index, click on it, then click on Unread and so forth.
I think the potential for this forum is very high if these few bugs can be worked out over time;.

I found a makeshift way to get back to the top of a page on a one page set of posts without scrolling. Just hit the Reply button at the bottom of the page. This will give you the Index and thread progression and you can click on Index or whatever from there.

Is anyone else using a MacBook Pro with the large touch pad having difficulty scrolling within long posts? One scrolls an Apple's big touch pad by swiping two fingers up or down. With the forum as is I am having some difficulty controlling the speed and accuracy of the movements. I have adjusted my touchpad speed preferences, but that did not help. The situation is made a bit more cumbersome too by having to manipulate two scroll sliders. The one is the small slider within a post and the other is for controlling the website page. Sometimes I want to scroll within a post, but the whole page scrolls instead. I have to click directly on the slider within the post to get to the bottom. For me, and perhaps it is just my problem, this is a bit cumbersome. The up and down arrow keys don't work at all other than to move the cursor. These are minor issues and ones that I may be able to control better as time goes on.
I really like the edit feature for ones own post. This may cut down on my message count, however, as some of my posts are of the "Ooops" variety. : ).
I suggest too that the opening screen display who posted last and the subject line. I can then decide to go there immediately without clicking through each of the sections. The same is true to replies to an individual post. It's nice to see who is responding to my post, not just the number of replies.
I am still learning how to navigate the Forum. Overall, I like what I see and expect the fine tuning will make it even better.

Bill, I'm having the same issue as you with the touch pad - it's waaaay too sensitive. One way I can see this problem easily solved would be to allow scrolling using the arrow keys (these don't seem to cause the page to scroll towards either direction).
A couple of other features that I had found very useful in the old forum but are currently missing (or have yet to discover in the new format):
1. Ability to click on forum member id and send them direct email. Not sure how to contact someone in private anymore 2. The archive search function lacks ability to narrow the search by author (but it has a new cool feature to narrow the result by category which will come handy) 3. Can no longer reply to a specific posting like in the past. A link from a specific posting to all direct replies would be useful (something like sub-threads within a thread) 4. The archive results are no longer sorted chronologically
But that said, I like the new forum and it I'm happy with all the improvements.

The scroll behaviour certainly takes some time to getting used to. I would love to be able to use page up/down buttons or arrow keys too.
For me, the old forum worked fine in Firefox, this new one howeverworks better in Internet Explorer.
It's great to be able to post multiple pictures within a post and I am looking forward to great travel reports from Nad!
By the way, does anyone know where all the information about the novelties with their archives can be found? I used it quite frequently to look up details on older models.

As of right now, they don't exist. This is an interim website. As Georges Kern has said this is an intermediate site because we had to change the "hosting". The real new site will be on line in December. We are working with a couple of great companies helping us developing our online policy including Facebook, twitter etc. The new site will then be mind blowing. What you see on iwc.com today is just a little teaser.
However, I don't know yet what will or will not be included in the new mind-blowing site.
