If you email IWC Schaffhausen and ask for a Archive report as suggested you will get a document like this one for my cal 89 that predates yours by a couple of years. I don't think you can access the archive request from the new interim IWC website, so you have to contact the HQ directly. There is a charge of around 50 CHF. I don't know if the price has changed recently.

Thank you Bill! What's the e-mail address where I should send my request? What did you attach: just the numbers or picture too? How did you add picture to your message here? :) Thanks, Peter

Try first using the "contact us" at the top of this website and post your question on how to contact IWC for an archive report. You might try info@IWC.ch, but this is an educated guess. All you do is provide the case and movement numbers as I recall.
As to attaching photos, you have to download your jpeg file to a service like photobucket.com and then copy the code IMG Code under your down load and paste that code directly into this message box.

Hi Michael,
I have recently joined the IWC community by the purchase of a vintage 18 karat gold manual watch - probably delivered mid 70's. It's a great looking dress watch with almost non-worn apperance.
I'm really impressed by this great forum! Regarding the "Catalog Project" - is there a view regarding the missing years/issues?
