Dear All,
I am a little too obsessed by IWC and am finally in a position to purchase one. It's a toss up between a Pilots Mark xvi or a Aquatimer 2000 with rubber strap. One I could wear for work everyday the other for weekend as its a little more ostentatious, however for a few long while I always wanted the pilots now I'm swinging towards the diver?
Is there any one that could help sway me either way?

You cannot make a bad decision on either one. Like Alan, I am a proud owner of the AT 2000 and it is a wonderful part of my IWC collection. It is a daily wear watch that is quite comfortable on the wrist. I have both the rubber strap and the SS bracelet. I really love the bracelet.
Good luck with you decision; you won't go wrong with either one.

I think the Mark XVI Classic is one of the best looking watches around. It has such a clean dial. You can use it everywhere. If I had to choose I would take the Mark XVI. Good luck!
Kind regards, Paul

I guess the problem is that the Mark XVI and the Aquatimer are both very different watches, both in size and appearance. The Mark XVI is a very nice classic every day watch that can be worn on any occasion. The Aquatimer ( I also have the white dial version) is very sporty though elagant as well but with 44mm considerable larger. My first IWC was the Mark XV but rather soon I added an Aquatimer as well. I think this is how you probably will end up also in due time. For now maybe the Mark XVI is the best choise because it is so versatile, but the Aquatimer is a wonderfull watch to add the moment you can do so.
Good luck choosing...
Norbert

honestly my choice should be for the mark XVI. It is a wonderful watch, similar to other pilot, but finally different; new but a little bit aged, really a nice watch. In my collection I have both, but to tell the true I have never worn the new aquatimer ( white dial and both arm band), while I used for many months the mark XVI. Just my thougts

I don't think you can go wrong either way. But since I own a white dial 2000 I am very partial to it. Maybe these pics will help.
