Well, I don't know whether you mean the Portuguese Automatic or the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, I'll assume the latter. I consider this a magnificent and very good looking watch, combining about the first in-house movement of the new era with that genius Perpetual Calendar module. Because I have so many nice watches, mine doesn't get the wrist time it deserves, about once a week, but I consider it the queen, or king of my collection: also money-wise. For me, it symbolises IWC at the utmost: refinement, cleverness, beauty, and yes, size. I really feel a proud owner of the first generation IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar.

Great pictures of your collection.
About the Vintage collection watches, who can recall the discussion about the laser engraving on the sapphire backs of some of them? Seems there were some that were engraved, and some were not- I think due to legal reasons. What are the numbers (amounts) that were engraved? What is the 'rest of the story'?
Kind regards,
Paul

When I saved the image to my computer, the details show it's made with a Canon EOS 550D :-)
