Here's what Georges Kern, IWC's CEO, posted on IWC's Facebook page today:
Hello everybody. I just wanted to welcome all of you on our official IWC page. It is great to see the instant success and the growing community. For some reason I feel more comfortable to post comments here than on our forum. So I will do it from time to time. I am looking forward reading your storries and comments.

I like Herr Kern, I think he's simply trying to differentiate channels of communications with IWC's potential audience.
I think it would be also nice to read Herr Kern's contributions on this forum from time to time, maybe a short, monthly editorial, with no need to reply but simply something to update the fondest fans about how things are going at IWC, after all, are we a family or not? :)
I don't understand why you are so negative in the following quote and on the German IWC Forum:
"Very disappointing, and I wonder why you, MF, present this comment to the community here. I always thought you would like to keep the traffic high on this forum, especially now that some money has been invested. This statement will only redirect to facebook and make look this forum less important.
Regards, David"
I'm not a Facebook user (I have never trusted their privacy settings and recent events only confirm this to me) but I welcome IWC and Georges Kern exploring other media and possibly bringing IWC to the attention of a new audience. Rather than seeing Facebook as "This statement will only redirect to facebook and make look this forum less important" I think it is making the cake bigger not taking a slice away from here and putting it on Facebooks plate.

I agree in this modern world of communication that every avenue should be explored and used if it is felt beneficial but Ido not really understand why he (GK) should prefer facebook to his own company's web site ...very strange comment to make in my opinion even if he felt it to be true.

David and all
With all respect I think that it was just a misunderstanding involving Mr. Kern and some judging or interpreting his words in more depth than they actually should, not to diminish his sayings, I just believe that was simply much ado about nothing.
And also this is a place that everyone in the whole world is visiting in order to find more about IWC.
This is not a blog created by a party or some friends that are in liberty to talk about everything, we are all guests here gentlemen.
