Last year, and maybe even the year before, there was a summer contest of this forum: I remember because it is always when I am away on summer holiday. I remember Michael writing something about a contest pretty soon, on the old forum not too long ago. Will we be surprised soon?
I tried to look up Michael's announcement a few weeks ago, and simply entered "contest" in the search function. Although I tried this function before, in this case I noticed how difficult it is to find that message of Michael back. I think that the result of the search could do with two improvements: add the author of the thread, and add the date of the thread. Did I overlook a short cut?
Kind regards, Paul

Paul --I have been planning a Summer contest for some time. I have a "the dog ate my homework" reason for the delay:
1. First, we got tied up with planning for the new forum 2. Then we went dark for a week 3. Then I planned something when the forum debuted, but the traffic was heavy and there was less immediacy for a drawing 4. Now I learned that IWC is planning to ship me several new prizes. With luck, they might arrive in about a week.
Bottom line --we're at least 10 days off, possibly longer since I have several travel plans.

Hi Louis,
I checked with the search term "contest", and your statement happens to be not true, at least in my case. I got 10 sections with threads, I wrote up some dates of the threads (format: section-thread no. year-month): 1-1 2009-3; 1-2 2001-8; 1-3 2001-11; 2-1 2001-10; 2-2 2001-11; 2-3 2005-6; 3-1 2002-8; 4-1 2004-8; 5-1 2007-12; 6-1 2002-1; 7-1 2008-3; 8-1 2004-8; 9-1 2001-8; 10-1 2005-6; 10-2 2008-8; 10-3 2007-12.
So, if this result is sorted, at least it is not by date. I wonder how Cellar fares with the forum software for his "Tuesday's tour", maybe there is something to learn for all of us. I personally am at the moment not really inclined to use this search function. A time window, and the name of the author, along with the search term, to narrow your search, would be very handy.
Kind regards, Paul
