Paul, Bill has jumped and in the air, just not sure when he lands in the water. And if I did not already own my BPP, it would be on my wrist right now. Love blue watches. But surely someone here must own one?

Yes indeed - it's one of the dangers of walking into a boutique - falling in love on the spot. Thyis watch will make the perfect "band of brothers" for the CFDV !
Now, here in The Netherlands we have not as yet seen this Blue faced PPC. But I can share with you, that Clemens holds a pretty good argument in favor of THAT BLUE DIAL - and that I HAVE succumbed to the beauty of this watch and made the jump.
My AD has placed the order - but time will tell when it arrives. To date - Schaffhausen have as yet not advised a potential delivery date (and if it is anything like the Deep II I pre-ordered now almost 2 years ago when the word got out it was coming out - and which is still not delivered) and I guess Holland is pretty far done the list of deliveries from manufacture.

Well, there is a limit to my patience and loyalty to an AD: as you travel to central Europe regularly, I would plan an intermezzo in Luzern or Zürich and pick the beauties up. At least the blue PPC I have seen there up for the grabbing. Well done, by the way.
Kind regards, Paul

Alan, in all honesty I've just about given up on the Deep 2. I ordered it on pre-order, when I had had some news of it coming. My AD (who I trust completely) registered and placed that order with IWC immediately. So must of been one of the first up on the list.
You can imagine my surprise (and a healthy dose of anger) when I saw a Deep 2 up for sale at catalog price in the Munich Airport - Duty Free shop. Now this was not even an IWC Boutique (I am OK with the idea that the boutiques get first grab) - but in a general all brands store. Did not seem right.
When I complained to my AD about this (in writing) he shared it with IWC office in The Netherlands and they told him it could not be, insinuating I was lying (despite the photo I had taken) or that it was a dummy (it was not - I had it on my wrist).
So I've agreed that I will make the final call on this watch if, as and when it comes in! I certainly cannot afford to procure both watches with the same 24 - 36 month period and the PPC will definitely take preference. This, for as a diver, I have a number of AT's in my collection - but as yet no Portuguese!
