We were privileged to be invited to Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California to enjoy a day of world class instruction and driving AMG cars around one of the greatest racetracks in America. Many thanks to North American IWC President Benoit de Clerc, as well as Arnaud Gouel and Hoa Hyunh of the IWC Beverly Hills Boutique for this incredible experience. Once you've had the opportunity to experience the magnificence of these AMG cars (innovation and technology), you can realize how many values IWC and AMG share. Here are pictures of Nelson and I enjoying this IWC sponsored day. Nelson is wearing a Boutique Big Pilot and I have my AMG Inge on my wrist.
During this amazing day we were able to drive AMG's finest products, the 575hp SLS with it's gull wing doors, the CLK 63 (black series), the amazingly nimble SLK 55, and stealthy E63.

WOW... looks like a great event. I've been wearing my Ingenieur Ceramic last week (back on the black strap) and I think it would have fitted in nicely at this event. Guess you both had a great day!

I would not mind to see a revival of this partnership. A titanium Ingenieur Chrono with 89360 movement and titanium bracelet with fine adjustment would be quite appropriate, for me a sure hit.
Kind regards, Paul
What you do may not be so important, but it is very important that you do it well. (my variation of a saying by Gandhi)
Relative to the posts here asking about more IWC models to the AMG line, my very educated guess is that it is very highly unlikely. IWC today is looking more for partnerships that reflect a social responsibility --witness Adventure Ecology, the Darwin Foundation, the Cousteau Society, Laureus, etc. While that's not 100% the case, I know there are people at IWC who, while respecting AMG and the alliance, believe that its role is different.
So while the partnership is ongoing and the relations are positive, and AMG is certainly a respected partner, I would doubt that the alliance would be further developed with a new IWC watch.

Maybe if AMG develops an electrical and enviro-friendly car...
