Honestly, like I am with most change - it takes me a little while to adjust. Especially since our forum web format remained the same for so long. I must say that I really like the new look and organization of the forum - especially now - it seems the new forum software is so much easier to use on the iPhone, which is where I am reading or posting from over 50% of the time these days.

Great job.[/quote] Richard, how do you scroll on an iPhone 4? I find the forum impossible to use on my iPhone. Are you using Safari or something else?

Alan - it's quite simple - although I do not have the latest iPhone4, I am still on the older model iPhone - using the basic Apple iPhone Safari Browser that is preconfigured on the iPhone. I imagine that this should be the same on your phone.
In my photo attached here - you will see the handy user interface scrollbar that IWC's forum website - the black "scroll thumb" which is circled in RED tells you "where" you are on the page - you just touch your finger below the black scroll bar (where my red arrow is) - and the page will scroll down.
Touch your screen above that black scroll thumb - and the page will scroll up.

There must have been some type of change to the iPhone 4. No matter what I do that scroll bar will not move. So I can only read the first page of any topic. Anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem with the 3GS model, updated with 4 software. I must be missing something in Richard's post --I don't see any black scrolll thumb area. I can do a little better on the iPad.

I have the iPhone 3gs but I haven't updated to the latest software yet. I noticed that it works like Richard describes but I also found out it's much easier with the page in landscape mode than in portrait mode. I also noticed that it works best when completely zoomed out (which means almost unreadable small to me).
I much prefer using Internet Explorer and found out that in full screen mode, the windows scroll bar on the side disappears.
The easiest to navigate in a post is by using the mouse wheel and I often connect my mouse to my laptop just to read the Forum.

Alan - don't try to move the black scroll thumb by touching it and sliding it like a traditional app.
Just touch the thin grey line below that black scroll thumb. The page will jump down. It does work better in landscape mode - and better if you zoom in a little. I will try it out on an iPhone 4 tomorrow to see if/how it may be different. I am posting this from my iPhone now - and had to easily scroll to the bottom of 5 or 6 posts....

I have touched below in various spots after zooming at all kinds of sizes in landscape mode. All to no avail. One time I got it to move down half way but when i pushed again it went up even though I was below the indicator. But every other attempt has been futile.
I have tons of apps on this iPhone which works well in every respect. I am a techy guy so I know what I am doing with this. This site does not work well on the 4.0 software.

Doh!
I'm thinking of returning my ipad personally to Mr Jobs to get him to fix it. Sometimes the tapping works. Sometimes it doesn't. Clearly, my fingers are too fat.
Great job.

Ardoise
