To Whom it May Concern:
I inherited a cc 1930 IWC rectangular men's wrist watch and would like to know if it is original how do I go about it? The movement is a C 87 and the serial number is 936669. Can such a watch be authenticated with a certificate?

Contact Schaffhausen (email) and ask for an archive report on your IWC. Give them the Case and Movement numbers at a minimum. There is a charge for the service, but it can validate some questions you may have about your IWC like to whom it was first sold, etc.

Thanks foo your help!
When contact IWC do I use "contact us" on their web site or is there a specific email address?
Regards,
John
The direct link to the archive request is temporarily not available on the interim website, so I would just use the contact us email address. I think it is info@iwc.ch.
