Antonio's delivery prompted me to take a couple of shots of my CFDV. This is such a superb watch but appears to have generated a lukewarm reception from many collectors. This is not a watch I have regretted buying. In fact, I get more pleasure each time I get it out.
Apologies: I posted this earlier and my navigational abilities around the Forum are so poor that I couldn't find my earlier posting. So, I have posted again. I am now wearing Portuguese PPC so my navigation has improved immeasurably.
I believe that, given the deliveries this week -including, finally, mine -all CFDVs that were ordered have been delivered. IWC stopped taking orders here at the beginning of 2010.

Hi Rave
You are right, the CFDV is a beautiful and unique watch, and evidence that crowds and majorities are frequently wrong. The da Vinci chronograph would not have been my first choice for a CF watch, had anyone asked my opinion. I ordered her not for (what I thought) she was, but for what she represented. Now that I have her on my wrist, I know that I was only half right. I love her now for what she is, and for what she represents. It is among the best watch acquisitions I made, along with the Jubilee, the CFI, the Ref 325s, and the Mark 11. These are the "keepers."
PS-You can find your original posting on the Archives, searching cfdv. Go figure.

I quite agree...the CFDV is a watch of real beauty on the wrist. I get more than few compliments on it from people who don't usually comment on what timepiece I am wearing. I love it when my decision on a purchase consistently brings me such satisfaction! I am happy yours finally arrived, Michael!
Best regards, Jim
