Hi fellow forum members, In January 17th I will make an attempt to climb UHURU-peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania Africa).
In fact you surely can wear ANY IWC. Remember that Edmund Hillary wore an old Ingenieur on some of his tours. If I had the choice I would take the GST with me.

For a mechanical piece I would go Ingenieur...I would also highly consider a Breitling Super Quartz analog Colt II. You need a piece that is tough as nails and super accurate.
Of course Tonny would wear a Jubilee Portugieser RG ;-) -- Cheers from Isobars.

Hi Bas, Of the ones you own, I'd suggest the 3536; perfect for this challenge. A new Ingenieur ME would be a great momento of the trip, though!
Have a safe trip, and don't forget to acclimatise carefully. I've seen mountain sickness (on Mount Kenya) in people who flew out from the UK one day and climbed the mountain the next.
I agree. Take the AT. If it was me I would take my Plastiki.

As for many others, I would suggest your AT3536 or get a new Inge ME or the old ref.3227
Have a very nice time for this climb!
Jean

Jean aka One of these days, 5449 will be mine
