I suspect with mobile phones having alarm functions, the days of a quartz watch with an alarm are now past, but I still have a soft spot for the white dialled version.

Thanks Greg. When I saw the topic, I immediately thought about Bob's first IWC and I am glad that there was a nice picture of his watch in the posts you proposed.
I have one Quartz watch (no IWC) and even though I can set multiple alarms on my iPhone, I sometimes use the alarm of the watch.
