Juliana Wrote:Hi,
I am officially an IWC fan and I hope IWC will make smaller watches for women so I can own an IWC one day.

Hi Juliana Good story. Lucky husband. :-)) You may try looking into vintage IWCs. You will find beautiful watches, originally designed for men that will fit a woman's wrist. Just a thought.

Your husband is a very lucky man -- I envy him. But i think you could find a smaller model -- maybe a mid-size Spitfire -- that you could wear comfortably. You certainly deserve it.

Thanks everyone for posting. My husband has been wearing the Portofino Chronograph almost daily and the Portuguese Chronograph has not received much wrist time lately.
Isobars, esat and Jim - My wrists are real tiny, even my 8 year old has bigger wrists than I do. Thanks for the encouragment, I hope I'll find the guts to wear a 39mm one of these days. I do hope IWC will make Portofinos in 34mm again.
Paul - I am so glad that you still like your PPC after 7 years. I think it is the most beautiful watch ever made!
Bill - You are so lucky to own a PPC. Which one do you have?
clepsydra - Thanks for your suggestion on vintage pieces, I will consider that.
ZSteve - I will check out the Spitfire the next time I am in my AD. Thank you for suggesting this.

Juliana Hello and many thanks for sharing this wonderful BIG strory with us.
It's people like you, that understand the passion in us for this brand - and clearly, from your posting and story share that passion too.
Your husband is a lucky man - and I trust he does all to help you find that IWC that fits you and with which you feel comfortable wearing. Of course, I tend to agree with the rest of the gang here, that trends and fashion today dicatate that you ladies can wear larger watches to - so give it a try.

Dear Juliana,
Thank you for sharing such a lovely story. It made my heart smile when I read how you'd kept that email in your inbox for all that time! Your husband is very lucky to have married you!
I hope you manage to find a watch that befits your wrist, I believe IWC's family of watches look good on all wrist sizes so don't give up!
Your story made me think. I want to give my fiance an IWC, either a matching Portuguese or a Da Vinci. She likes both models but like you, she is also conscious of her wrist size. My strategy is to help her to imagine that both are not over-sized on her. Of course, taking her to the IWC boutique and having her try them on, is sure way to get her used to that feeling! I hope to make the purchase soon and will tell the story afterwards.
