We could use more information. The 31457 number isn't relevant, since it's a patent number.nor the other two, one is a movement number and the other the case number, but we can't be sure which one is which. Is the crown at 3 or 12 o'clock?
This watch is either a calibre 53 or 52 -both are quite common. Value depends on the metal, the case, the dial and condition.

As the case-number is always higher than the number of the movement, it is probably a Sav. c.53 19lig. H5 produced in 1914, but this result depends on the number of the movement (6076099). H.G.A.

Hi,
we also have an apparently vintage IWC pocket watch: case seems to be 18k. crown @ 3 o'clock has the following numbers stamped inside both case covers:
773238 the watch has an interesting inscription probably in Swedish: "sodermanlands good temp lare" and appears to be dedicated to someone called Axel Eklund with the inscribed daye 1907 -1923.
This watch has passed into the hands of a member of our family as a bequest. Obviously any information about this heirloom would be of great value to us

I believe looking on the internet that as you said it is a Calibre 52. If that is the case and as I stated that the watch is in excellent condition and silver case with firm hinge and blue hands what is an estimate for its value. It is a beautiful watch and I would love to have it if the price the shop is asking is fair. Thanks again for the assistance.

Sir,
I believe it is a Calibre 52. If the case is silver and the watch is in excellent condition with the hinge still firm could you give me an approximate value please? I would love to own the watch if it is a fair deal.

I would like to know the model as it is in great shape and at $1000 U.S. if it is a great deal or just a more common IWC.
Thank you for anyone that may offer assistance.
Crown is at he 12 o clock position and case is silverimg][/img]
Do you have email I can send the pictures to? I can't seem to post pic to the thread
