Hello All,
I am new to the forum. I live in the UK and LOVE my 2 IWC's. I have a 18k. gold Cal 89 ( 1949 )with black dial and gold markers and a Stainless steel cal 88 (1952) but both watches have non IWC winder buttons and I would like to replace with correct buttons with IWC logo.Does anyone know what size they should be and do I need the winding stems to go with them? Lastly does anyone know where I could get them?? Your help would be most appreciated.
If your gold calibre 89 has a crown (winder button) that looks like the one in the following image:
The crown will be original. IWC may have used other crowns at the time (the above watch is from 1948) but is was not until much later that monogramed crowns were used.

Thanks for the fast reply. Yes, Its exactly like the one in the picture so I will be able to stop fretting about it now! Any ideas about the Stainless Cal 88 button?
It might be easier if you upload an image of your watch and particularly its crown. Someone on the Forum should then be able to help.
See the following on How to Post Images

Copy the address of the image (it will probably end in jpg) To display it here click on the image icon, the one with the green hills and moonphase and you will see the following, but with square brackets rather than round

Insert the address of the image between the centre brackets like:
