Thanks for all the kind words. As for the watch choice: if the weather would have been very nice and sunny, I would have opted for the Portuguese Automatic. Just as Paul stated, I wasn't supposed to enter the water anyway so the Aquatimer was only on my short-list for a brief moment :-)
By the way, more information about 'De Eendracht' kan be found here: http://www.eendracht.nl/. The ship doesn't only stay near the Netherlands, so Jim, maybe you can book for a trip in Las Palmas or Martinique?
