OK. So what about other Marks, e.g., Mark XV. Is it known how many they have produced ? If yes we can find how many per year they were selling, assume that roughly the same production rate applies to Mark XVI and get a reasonable estimation of the number of Marks XVI produced to date :-)
Sorry, but IWC doesn't provide any information for watches in current production or which were produced in the preceding ten years. In addition, they don't have the staff to answer such questions consistently on older watch models --it could be a full time job given the number of models, and for some (prior to some time in the 1990s) the records require manual counting.
If you think about it, iWC's total production isn't disclosed any more, but when it was disclosed about 10 years ago it was around 40,000 watches per year. If you consider the number of models --best sellers vs. slow sellers, most watches would be made in a few thousand per year. You can multiple that by the number of years a model was made. For a huge seller over 5 years, we're talking more than a few thousand and clearly less than many tens of thousands. Just educated guessing.
I am trying to figure out how "rare" Mark XVI are, so here's the question:
Do you know how many Mark XVI IWC has made so far ?

Welcome here on the best IWC forum in the world, I hope you enjoy it.
As for your question: IWC doesn't reveal this information, especially not for watches that are still in production.
Kind regards,
Clemens
