It's an easy wish for me. I still have my heart set on an innovative incarnation of the DaVinci Kurt Klaus - in monochromatic dial and black ceramic case - with titanium hands and dial features.... on a black rubber strap -

My wish list, based on what I would like to see for myself, or what would fill a gap that I think necessary to fill.
- I like to see the return of titanium for cases and bracelets. I particularly am thinking about the Ingenieur Automatic, the Ingenieur Chrono with the 89360 movement (I would quite probably buy it on a titanium bracelet) and the Aquatimer 2000: all can be seen as the work horses of IWC. - I like all bracelets to have the fine adjustment feature of the bracelet of the Da Vinci: a bit more expensive for sure, but for me well worth it: IWC is first class high quality, the bracelets deserve this possibility, and the IWC customers too. - I like to see a Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar with titanium case in a regular production series. At some point in time IWC has to correct its mistake in viewing the potential of a Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar, you cannot punish yourself eternally for this mistake. So, cut it loose from the Limited Editions, and let's see a titanium version to celebrate this. I might very well buy one. - I think it necessary for IWC to come with a travel watch with a second time zone. Not only adjustable on the full hour, that doesn't represent the reality of our world, but adjustable to at least half an hour, to please our customers in Venezuela and other parts of the world. Preferably on an in-house movement, like a modified 801xx.
If IWC could do this, for me they might skip the new Portofino line for a year, but then, who am I?
Kind regards, Paul

I'm surprised no one here has made any guesses on the 2011 Portofino line. That obviously will represent the preponderance of new models, and is consistent with IWC's philosophy of revising one product line every year. And, while the Portofino line is not as popular with some collectors as other lines, it is a major seller. And the Portofino Vintage Collection Moonphase is a strong model, at least for a manual wind movement.
I really don't know yet about the specifics of the new models. But --and some of you will react in disbelief-- I actually have dreams about IWC watches. Weird, I know, but I live IWC and I guess sleep IWC.
A few days ago I dreamt that all the new Portofinos were 46mm. They were all variations of the VC Moonphase --a time only model, a complicated model, an 8-day automatic, etc.
And then I woke up, and thought I was dead-wrong. The line is a big seller because several of the models are "basic", and that size won't work for all.

No hints, really. I haven't heard yet.
Well, I did not want to guess about the Portofino line because I knew whatever I guessed would be wrong. lol

I think it would provide a suitable "update" to the regular Portofino collection, and would be an alternative to the grey dialed SS Vintage Collection model.
Michael, It looks like you and I were having the same dreams! :>))
