Hi fellow forum members
Guess what?
My CEO bought himself a Portuguese 5001 platinum!!
I think my never ending enthusiasm about our brand finally infected him (in a positive manner). What is your major success as an "ambassador" of IWC? I'm very curious what influence you've had on IWC-purchases of your colleagues/friends..
best regards BAS DEKKERS Tried on the 5001 for a few minutes (and liked it a lot!)

That was very nice Bas. I live in a small city but never the less I have influenced quite a few friends and still working on it. It is a very interesting process debating for and against other makers and letting things flow towards IWC.

Great story Bas! I don't think anybody I personally know bought an IWC because of me but I have had several replies about the pictures of my IWC's that they pushed people to buying that watch.

Convinced my friend to snap a pre-owned Portuguese Automatic 7 days with black dial instead of another watch. He agrees that it's really money well-spent and is still loving that watch.
Another is my own brother, he's now an avid fan of IWC watches and his favourite is the Big Ingenieur 7 days. He's now wearing a 3227-01 and I think he will be getting the big brother in near future.

That's a great story and your boss went right to the top with a Platinum version, well done!!!!
Just off the top of my head, I know of two buddies that wanted and bought a 5001 after seeing mine:
There may be other instances but this jumps to mind!
Cheers!
Cheers,

That is a great watch. Can you still buy this watch new at an AD? It was in the catalogue until 2005.
I am not sure someone ever bought an IWC because I have some.
Kind regards,
Paul
What you do may not be so important, but it is very important that you do it well. (my variation of a saying by Gandhi)

Nice watch you have by the way.
