Last week, Norbert couldn't make it to our GTG with Bill and a few friends. Since Norbert and I live at just a few km from eachother, we had a very small get together this evening to make up for that.
Our collections show more than a slight resemblance and we both still long for a Portuguese Perpetual so we had plenty to discuss about.
Norbert also signed my copy of the IWC book and it was a relief I didn't have to carry it around this time :-)
The two of us have ten IWC's and we tried to take a few pictures of them but the lighting wasn't ideal so this is the best we could do:
All of them together:
Two Portuguese 5001's:
Three Pilot's watches:
Two Aquatimers and a GST (we both feel it fits in best in this family):
And finaly two Inge's:
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and we hope to see more collectors next time!
Kind regards,
Clemens
PS: we realized that this meeting should have been held tomorrow, on 10-10-10 with 10 IWC's!

Thanks for the coffee and apple pie Clemens and although this ultra mini GTG couldnt completely make up for missing the Amsterdam GTG with Bill it was a great opportunity to talk about watches (and other stuff) again with you. The watches on the pictures look nice even in low lighting, but thats of course because they are IWC watches ;-)) See you next time!

Very nice, even a one on one is a delight, as I experienced with Rob Stynen a few years ago. The similarity of your collections is quite striking. Hope to see you all a next time. By the way, the pictures aren't too bad, to put it in Groningen vocabulary.
Kind regards, Paul

No sushi? Great display of iwc's guys! Got my Book (all 41/2 kgs) this weekend. Good idea (!) to get it signed by collectors of the Forum. Maybe in Zeewolde next time (also around the corner). cheers Bas Dekkers (wearing his 3706 this evening)

That was my take also! There are enough great IWC watches there to fill a small AD! I would have loved to have been at the next table to watch the reactions around the room!...:>))

I love that GST Perpetual in Ti. It is so, so nice. It's one of the 4 vintage IWC's that I want....

That's a great group of watches and you both demonstrate exceptional taste in nice timepieces.
Cheers!
