Hello Argyle,
These watchmaking classes are great! I have had the pleasure to participate twice already. I have written a small report about one of them (http://sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IWC_Masterclass/Masterclass_20080911.html). The other was with members of this Forum and I believe I made a post about it here, that should be somewhere in the archives now.

Hong Kong
Hi Argyle,
Yesterday I went to a masterclass hosted by Kurt Klaus in Hong Kong. It was an amazing and exciting experience, you will enjoy it! Kurt is truly inspiring and having spent 50+ years at IWC, still enthuses about watchmaking like no other! I've learnt lots from him and I still cannot believe I was fortunate enough to meet him.
I've also posted a review of my experiences in a separate thread in the Community section, take a look and fuel your excitement some more, LOL!

Hi everyone,
I just got home from the IWC watchmaking event in Manila Philippines:)
It was such a great event for an IWC enthusiast like me.
learned the basics of disassembly and how to reassemble an IWC watch movement...appreciated more the work done by the master watchmakers at IWC for their effort and patience in assembling a watch movement from scratch :)
To top off this great event...we celebrated Mr. Kurt Klaus 76th birthday during dinner time :)
i'm the guy on Mr. Kurt Klaus left side...big bald guy :)
I haven't been active posting and reading everyone's posts in the forum lately but I just wanted to drop by and say hi to everyone again:)
I got an invitation from the IWC distributor in the Philippines for the 2nd IWC watchmaking event to be done here in Manila on October 26:)
to say I'm excited is an understatement:)
Don't know who's coming but the 1st IWC watchmaking event was done by Kurt Klaus himself:)
Of course photos of the event will be posted here in the forum:)
14 more days to go...
I hope they plan one for Montreal!
Keep us posted :-)
Cheers,
Nad
