On Sept 1st I left YUL to BEY with a 12 hour layover in FRA (Frankfurt!)...........
The Pilot would have been the natural choice to wear during the flight, BUT...............................
The Big Bang does NOT fold flat to fit in the travel case, so the BP had to take it's place, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
A friend picked me up from the hotel, where I booked a room for the day, and the first order of business was LUNCH!!!!!
Very typical German lunch with Radler beer and Weisse beer, cheers.....
This seems to be a popular after-market car finish with the matte look:
Looks like the car industry's version of ceramic or PVD, LOL!!!
Having an afternoon coffee with my friend Frank R:
After getting back to the hotel I still had time for a nap before it was time to go back to the airport terminal:
It seems like I'm at the right place!
Arriving Beirut at 2AM, yawn!!!!!!!!!!!
And finally arriving at the hotel at 3AM where my wife was already waiting for me after arriving on an earlier flight!
The following day, a friend picked us up for some "fun & sun" on the Med :-)
Great local beer!
We eventually made it back to shore for a late lunch!
A local favorite.....................
Fried and eaten whole, LOL!
The main course was something more sophisticated and grilled!
Here's the BEFORE shot...........
And the AFTER shot!!!!!
The view from our table:
Sunset over the Med:
Later that evening, a local collector who I had never met but been in e-mail contact, picked us up for a mini GTG..........yes it's true, nothing starts to happen in Beirut before 11PM, LOL!!!!!!!!
My Big Pilot!
Sampling a local Rose wine, cheers!
Our small group of three grew a little with some more collectors :-)
St-Ex RG BP and my 5002!
The table shot with two IWCs and a very special AP T3!!!!
Thanks for looking and stay tuned for more adventures with my Big Pilot!!

I always look forward to your return to Montreal because: 1) we have you back on the forum; and 2) all of us can look forward to another great travel report complete with narrated photos! Thank you for posting pictures of your trip to Beirut! Beirut is a city to which I've always wanted to travel...and you provided a glimpse complete with great IWC watches!
Best regards, Jim
