hi, does anyone hear there is a Platinum version for Fliegerchrono mecaquartz at IWC 120 anniversary? I have recently bid this watch. the seller claimed very firmly this is a platinum version made specially for the 120 anniversary. however, there is no limited edition number at the case back and no "1868-1988" at the dial. the seller said the authenticity paper content this information. anyone can help. thanks a lot..
I saw one for sale on eBay a few months ago, if I recall, but I had not heard of any such watch before then or since. I also saw one or two gold ones, with differing engravings, on eBay. It's possible, but I wasn't going to gamble by paying for such a watch.
Yes --if you get IWC the serial numbers (case and movement) they can issue you an extract from their archives for 50 CHF. You can find out more about extracts by searching our archived posts.

Write to IWC via the website and ask for an extract archive report on your watch. You will need to provide the case and movement numbers as MF pointed out to get the Archive report. The cost is ~ 50 CHF.
You can write them via the Contact Us section of the website or email them at info@iwc.com...I think this is a valid email address.
