Well, if time is not a problem I'll try to save for the PPC. White gold version of this watch is a must, also have to consider movement, the perpetual calendar complication and the seven days power reserve,

If you've got the patience -- and can get the bucks together -- go for the white gold PPC with blue dial. I tried one on at a Chicago watch show and almost cried when I had to take it off. Simply breathtaking...
Thanks for the input guys, I am reluctant to get the Port Chrono as it's an ETA movement, somehow that just doesn't sit right.
And I already have Omega's and a Tag for rough and sporty use.
The Perpetual of course is a beautiful piece of IWC workmanship.
The only thing about the Perpetual is ..... how often will I wear it? Does it scream out: Rob me, cut my hand off ?
From all the ETA based movements, I think the Portuguese Chrono movement is the most IWC of them.
As for loosing your wrist and watch: that probably depends on where you live. I wouldn't worry too much where I am and if you choose the white gold, it's less obvious.

It does not scream out. I get the most compliments on my 5023, but I think any Rolex is much more recognizable. The only people who recognize an IWC PPC are ones in the know (like all of us). I bought mine on a whim while visiting a relative in a different state. The PPC is one beautiful piece of machinery all around.

Should I get that or save up some more and get the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar IW502121?

I already have the Portuguese Automatic.

But,..., then you should wait, are you able?

Also, that way you will not need to wait all that time either.....
Just my thoughts.
