I have just been to Seville, Spain for a couple of days. Fantastic city! I stopped and looked at a watch shop with a lot of (from a collectors view point) very ordinary watches. In the middle of all these watches I spotted a second hand Portuguese F.A. Jones. Extraordinary in these surroundings
I had to learn more about the watch. The owner of the shop had just put it in the window with a brand new original strap. It was being sold for a customer. The watch maker was a very realistic man and the price negotiation didn't take long.
I am now the happy, unexpected owner of yet another Portuguese.

The ref. number is 5442 and the cal. is 98290. The watch is made in 2005. It's a limited series to celebrate the founder of IWC: F.A. Jones.
3000 were made in steel, 1000 in gold and 500 in platinum.

Larry, don't/would not normally argue with a Master - but dont you believe that it's already got that status?
Surely this beautiful watch, is a Classic piece already?
