Hi again,
I found in a drawer this old steel IWC. Besides the pictures you can see I just have these numbers:
Case Ref. Number: 990681 Mov. Number: 945897
Diameter: 28 mm
The back is somehow torn but it has been recently repaired and restored and the retailer assured the movement is completely IWC made but couldn’t go into details.
Can you please help me with some more information and value quotation? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your help Brian. I tried to search the internet about this model but I couldn't find much more information about my watch. Most cal. 83 from 1936 refer to the Mark IX but I guess it's not my case. although it looks like a military watch the diameter is much smaller than an aviator watch. Nevertheless, I don't know anything about the value of my vintage timepiece.
Can anyone help me with some more information? Thanks a lot. Giacomo

Dear Michael, thank you for your reply. Yes, unfortunately it's not a Mark IX! I did check the catalougues of that age (around '40s) but I couldn't sort out anything useful to add any other information ! I would really appreciate if you can use your expertise and sources to help me deeper investigate this model (I didn't see any quadrant like this or such a small diameter....but I'm not an expert!). I know you don't discuss about price, but I would only know if the watch is of any value according to its rarity (if any, still don't know) and conditions. I thank you in advance for your kind support on this.
Just run the numbers through the IWC dating application and it comes out at a Cal 83 from 1936 for both case and movement.
Cheers,
Brian.

Back then, various dial and case variations were produced with the same movement., Yours is not a Mark IX nor a military watch -sorry.
Good luck.
