Hi ,
Because of lack of a watch winder, I intend to leave my BP to run down completely. What's the best position to leave BP to run down? Does make any difference the unwound position for future accuracy? Please advice...

As far as I am aware, it makes no difference. My BP winds down in a watch case in a safe. It faces upwards and is protected from scratches and knocks. If the watch winds down completely and stops, why are you concerned with accuracy?
When a watch is in use, I tend to lay it on its side overnight in a tray. I try not to leave it dial up because the bracelet or buckle may scratch the back of the watch. Some watches keep better time overnight in certain positions. Unfortunately, I can't remember which watch benefits from which position. That's old age for you.

I doubt if there is any difference what position you chose to let the BP wind down. If it's running, the dial up position tends to make the watch gain time, but no so much that it makes a difference either. A crown down makes it lose a bit. If you are wearing the BP, it is my understanding its best to keep the mainspring wound at least half full for better accuracy.
To be truthful accuracy and consistency are not a big issue with me. If I wanted pin point, dead on timing I'd buy a quartz watch. My joy is just in marveling at the IWC mechanical movement, the beauty of the design(s), and the history and tradition of the brand.
