Hi to everybody.
This is my first post to the site, so I wish to apologize for any kind of error I may incur.
I have two old pocket IWC, and I would like to know something more about them.
The first one is a gold piece, with two fine covers and with a monogram in emerald (red and blue) on the back side (initials MP, related to my father). Reference # 251251 in the interior. Marked as International Watch Co.
The second one is a silver piece, with two simple covers. Reference # 844574 marked on one of the covers and # 826606 marked on the movement. Marked as International Watch Co. Schaffausen.
Both watches did not work for so many years, and my intention would be to have them repaired.
I have photos, but I do not understand how to enclose to this message. May you tell me something about ? Thank you very much.

Garopera Hello,
Please search the forum for instructions on how to post photos, as we should see the watches in order to better be of assistance. However, from the brief summary you list the watch could be older (1901) and the the "Date Your IWC" utility shoes the movement in the 2nd watch to be a Lép. calibre 57, dating from the year 1925. The case was most probably produced resp. delivered around 1926.
Also, try to see if the first watch has a number on the movement, and get some photos posted.

Thank you Mark.
Sorry, the search has taken more time I thought.
Unfortunately I did not succeed in discovering the movement number inside the first watch (the gold one). It is clearly visible only the number 21 (and no more), but the “date your IWC” program tells me that this number is not a valid entry. In any case the 1901 – 1902 date is compatible with the story I know about this watch (University degree gift to my father).
