Actually Nad, the waxing moon should be ascending on the left side as seen on my PPC for today. A waning moon would be descending on the right side. It's hard to see the moon disk in this quick and dirty shot, but the moon is definitely on the left side of the moonphase orifice. Sorry about the dirt on the watch, this was a quick shot with no thought to cleaning it up before taking the shot.
Addendum: Here is an even quicker shot that has a better look at the position of the ascending moon disk today.

Bill, I'll adjust and thanks for the info, but it just looked like the bright part was on the right in the Google pages I found about moon phases, LOL

Hi Bill,
Me again, LOL!! here is the image that I based my setting on. It appeared to me that the brighter side that is showing on the right would have been the moon, but I guess not.
Nad, how could you doubt the PPC ? LOL I made a little scetch to explain. It is easy to explain with a little knowledge of French.
Tonny,
Is it your opinion that someone from French speaking Montreal really doesn't speak true French? LOL
It's supposed to be a "waxing crescent and 7%", so this setting looks to be fairly accurate, LOL!!!!
Have a great week everyone!
Cheers,
Nad
Best regards,

Jim
