I guess you mean the new watch that is showed here a few months ago. I tried but failed to find the picture back, to use as a reference. It was blue with white subdilals for the chrono if I remember well. Quite nice.
At the German forum (moderator info) I read that the watch is to be expected in 2011: later than desired. Reason is that there are, or were, problems with the production of the hands. This seems not to be a problem for IWC only, other manufacturers suffer from it too.
Kind regards, Paul

Are you referring to this year's AT Cousteau? It was initially expected in September but has definitely been delayed. For sure a gorgeous looking watch.
Kevin --I haven't heard further here, but sometimes depending on allocations a few watches also are distributed to "A dealers" --that is, major retailers of IWC. It's always worth checking to see if your dealer can snag one.

why would they issue another calypso, which I assume will also, as the previous versions, be on the basis that part of the proceeds are to fund the calypso restoration, see below? (per Wikipedia)
"Restoration work on the Calypso stopped in February 2009 due to non-payment of bills by Francine Cousteau [10]. Piriou Naval Services of Concarneau are owed €850 000, of the estimated total €1 737 000, for work already done on the ship. The ship is now stored in one of the ship builder's hangars."
"In June 2010 the BBC reported that the Calypso was to be relaunched to mark the centenary of Jacques Cousteau's birth.[11] According to one of the ship's former crew who visited the shipyard, the vessel was still being stored in several pieces in the same hangar as of 11 June 2010 - the official date of the centenary - and is unlikely to sail any time soon.
