I have noticed that similarities of this Porsche Design to the now discontinued AT Automatic ref. 354807 are more than evident. I can recall the "common past" of the two companies, but I think it would be very interesting to hear about your opinions about other makers "borrowing" design elements from other IWC models.

yesterday while I was serfing, found this watch which I believe has simililar design with IWC Portuguese Chrono Automatic.
Marcello C Classic Duochronograph
As you can see, we have two great watches, two similar designs, but two vast different prices(see Marcello C Classic Duochronograph price in net). I don't know (cannot judge from this picture) the quality of Marcello C, but I think the relation (price-performance) is very good. Keep in mind that uses a modified Valjoux 7750 automatic movement.
