Last night was one of those great occasions when IWC Forum members have a mini GTG. RAVE was in NYC on a business trip so it was time to have a few beers, some great food, and time to share our passion for IWC. Joining in the evening were Evan Nanos and Kevin Devine along with yours truly.
Before dinner Kevin, Ralph and I had time to do a bit of IWC shopping in two of the major IWC AD’s in the city. We wowed the salesmen with our knowledge of IWC models and our enthusiasm for horology.
Here now is a brief pictorial of the evening in the Big Apple.
Kevin and Ralph ogling watches:
This particular AD had an extensive selection of IWC on display.
We were surprised to see an NIB Ingenieur 3227 in the window (far right, front row):
As I said, there was a large selection of IWC’s on display.
Before we met Evan for dinner, we stopped by a local watering hole for a bit of liquid refreshment and time to talk IWC.
The date was 15 Nov 2010 at 17:50 with a full moon on the way.
RAVE wore his CFDV for the evening. He brilliantly uses it as a two time zone watch.
Comparative wrist shots while in the local pub.
After our libation, we headed over to an excellent Greek restaurant, Milos, for the rest of the evenings festivities. Having Evan, a native Greek speaker, among us assured us excellent service and a fine meal.
Of course, we drew a lot of attention from the restaurant staff when we piled our watches in the middle of the table. This is fun stuff we get to do at these GTG’s. Can you identify all of them?
We may be the second group to have two CFDV together for the evening. Both Ralph and Evan are proud owners of this spectacular Forum watch.
The CFDV is so much more special when you see it in the flesh.
Evan’s on the leather strap:
Finally, me wearing Evan’s lovely and much desired, by me, BP 5002. His is the slow beat.
Now I am looking forward to another GTG in NYC whenever anyone is in town and wants meet for an fun afternoon and evening.
Cheers and thanks to Ralph, Evan and Kevin for a great time.

It looks like the best way to spend an evening! That was a GTG that would have been fun to attend (if I was a jet setter of any consequence!)! Thanks for the photos, Bill...and my complements to all for their exquisite taste in watches.
Best regards, Jim

You nailed the menu. Two of us had sea bass and two had salmon. It was a great meal and great company.

The one in particular received a great deal of attention and admiration. Then it went back into its padded home for a trip abroad. LOL
