Is yours a Ref. 5002 (with the numeral 9 on the dial) or 5004. If the former, it's not normal and should get repaired. The product manager for the 5002 told me that such a gap can compromise water resistance, and a different tube for the stem is needed. It's not critical but should get fixed.

Hi MF,
Thanks for the reply and my apologies for being not too clear... mine is the latter.. 500401.. Does this then mean it is ok and normal? Do other BP5004 owners have this issue too?
I'd be more worried if there was not a gap, as the crown would be tight against the case and potentially not tight against its seal and therefore not sealing properly.

The crown even when fully screwed down has a "gap"...
PS: not exactly show how to upload the pic...
Thanks in advance!
