I had a little problem with this watch over the summer. First the power reserve stopped working and I had to manually wind it. Then the moonphase disk was loose after I attempted a service with a local watch service firm. Then the date was off by a day. Time for real service.
I went to my AD at the end of October. It took a week for an estimate and a month for full repair at the IWC facility in Texas. They completely overhauled the movement and cleaned up the case and bracelet.
It looks good as new.
Still the most "perpetual" for the price and for the unique and obvious IWC design.

Likewise, this is one I would like to acquire! It looks new after returning from Ft. Worth.

Actually, I was stunned by the short time it took for repair. They told me six weeks but honestly, I did not believe it. It even came back with a nice one watch travel case which I am sure I will use repeatedly.

That Ti GST Perpetual is such a fantastic watch. I think it's the best variety of the GST Perpetual.
I have a steel version (with Saumon dial) - but always, always consider jumping at the chance to grab a Ti one, but fail to act when I see one for sale -it is striking!!
One of the benefits of going through your AD for the IWC Service is the level of service, ability to track the status through the process, they handle all the shipping, insurance, and return the watch with a detailed dossier of services performed, regulation results - and the watch is returned in that fantastic leather protective case - I think I have 4 of them by now... lol.
Alan, as your perpetual calendar collection continues to grow - you'll end up spending the equivalent of an Aquatimer each year on service!!! lol.

It's looking very good on your wrist Alan! As for your service experience: I don't think that I will have the courage to take a perpetual to a regular watch repair shop....

Clemons, you are certainly correct. However, at the time only the power reserve was not winding so I thought they would not need to fool around with the other parts of the movement. WRONG. I learned my lesson. Its like that scene in Apocalypse Now.... " Never get out of the boat". LOL
