I thought I'd share a photo of movements that most people don't see often. These were produced between 1877 and 1882, which is an especially dark period in IWC's history, and these watches are relatively rare.
I'm also expecting one more watch in the series, hopefully Monday, with great anticipation. Any guesses?

MF - what great Christmas cheer! Is it my imagination, but you are lately blessed with a couple of excellent acquisitions to your collection, in a row!
Cant quiet make out the engraving on the Cal. 28 - but it looks real nice.
@Mark --you can right click on the image, get the URL and paste that in a separate window in your browser. The forum software re-sizes images and they're often too small to view detail.
@Paul --yes, indeed. The sequence will be 22-24-26-28, but it's more than the numbers. There's all sorts of special characteristics, in my opinion, to a calibre 22. And, also, I do wear mt ST Ex chrono, but less frequently than the PRT Tourbillon and Portofino Moonphase.

MF - words fail me....I've been looking at the oversize high resolution photos now, again and again, and just cannot get enough. I am in danger of catching the pocket watch bug which I warned others of recently.
Question: I note the #3 on the winder key. Is there any significance to that number?

Facebook December 15: "I'm waiting for a Calibre 22 to arrive...heh heh".
Kind regards,
Paul, wearing rose gold Saint Exupéry Chrono: do you wear yours still sometimes?
What you do may not be so important, but it is very important that you do it well. (my variation of a saying by Gandhi)
