The Portuguese Perpetual Calendar’s march into the New Year 2011 began at approximately 23:50 on New Year’s Eve. You can see the last digit of the year starting to move. By 00:04 the cycle was complete with the day date and year all pointing to, what some call, a magical 1/1/11. I am impressed each year with the complexity of the process taking place in this magical Kurt Klaus designed PPC. Even more impressive to me is the sheer beauty of this IWC. It remains my favorite IWC.
Enjoy a minute-by-minute pictorial of the PPC’s magic:
I also recorded a HD movie of the action, but that takes a bit more time to process, add music, etc. I’ll post that later.
Happy New Year everyone. I certainly enjoyed mine.

The art of scrolling: when you scroll this post down or up in a certain way you see a movie where the minutes hand advances or moves back. Quite cute. And a magnificent set of pictures, Bill.
Kind regards, Paul, wearing VC Pilot's watch
What you do may not be so important, but it is very important that you do it well. (my variation of a saying by Gandhi)
