Fantastic tour cellar! Had no idea about these GSTs and thank you for digging these out. The inscription on the case back of the Greek LE translates to "Special Greek Edition". I too wonder what the occasion for this watch was.
Isobars: "The glare is like a torch." Yes very reflective and difficult to photograph. The polished stainless steel bezel also gets a lot of fine scratches.
Ardoise: "Would some argue/agree that the Aquatimer 2000 was part of the GST Line, and the entire GST line morphed into today's Aquatimer Line? " I think things got divided in two. The GST Aquatimer line continued as a seperate Aquatimer series and the remainder of the GST was phased out to place the Ingenieur line as IWC's tough sporting series. The GST series went when the Ingenieur was re-introduced.
Mark Levinsohn: "One question - the GST Chrono Automatic, was also released in Yellow Gold - does anyone know the reference number of that watch? " There were only three gold models the Chrono-Automatic reference 9277 (like the 3707 but in gold), the Chronograph (quartz stepping motor and mechanical chronograph) reference 9557, like the reference 3727 and the Automatic Alarm reference 9269, like the reference 3537.

About the GST line, despite their thick tuna can cases, I love them. Truly 'tool' watches, very tough and in their own way, stylish.

23273 - the difference between your serial number and mine Nad.
This is still one of my favorites and gets significant wrist time....
