Just some "point & click" photos I snapped this afternoon while on a conference call at home. Today is the first day of the New Year that I have worn this IWC. I liked how the sun was shining in the library, through the multi-pane windows. Here are 5 photos of the Ref 5022 Portuguese Perpetual Calendar - some may have too much light and glare - you may notice the sofa I am seated on is "ardoise" in color.

Richard, your photo spread here is both a) fantastic to see and b) driving me crazy that the PPPC I've ordered already in August last year, has not arrived.
That watch of yours is stunning - and indeed it must be difficult to leave it off the wrist for any extended period of time.

Mark - congratulations on selecting your Portuguese Perpetual. Are you waiting for the new Ref 5023 Perpetual in white gold? I am nearing on 5 years (in May) of ownership of this beauty - but even over this time, the excitement and beauty is not taken for granted.
I do not know if I purposely 'deprive myself' occasionally of the privilege of wearing it - to prolong this love affair - I guess that is not the case - I am still wearing it today - because, for security reasons - my safe requires 'effort' to open and I may simply just place the watch of the day on my nightstand overnight and put it back on the wrist in the morning- too lazy to open the safe to select a different watch.

Well, that sounds like an excellent way of getting to decide what watch to put on in the morning. I too suffer from the "security" issue - tending to rather take a watch off the winder (at least it holds 4) as opposed to getting into the safe mornings. My son regularly reminds me to rotate from winder to safe and vice versa.
Have a great week!!

Ardoise
