My IWC pocket watch website has been live for two weeks now, and I'm totally floored by the interest in it, not just because the subject is, well, narrow but because of the breadth of visitors.
As of this morning, people from 42 countries have viewed the website, and they primarily use 30 languages! That to me is huge, and shows that the interest in vintage IWC spreads literally across the globe.
What is also surprising is where these people are from. The second largest group of visitors to the site is from Russia, and the Ukraine is third. Poland is seventh. But I almost can't think of a country that isn't represented (I need to get Bjorn form Norway to stop by to get to 43).

I am impressed but not surprised. Your PW site is well-designed, informatiive, and provides a great resource for anyone interested in IWC and IWC history. I spent some time there and got a concise education on the evolution of IWC's orignal product...plus got to view your wonderful personal collection. It is gratifying to know that so many worldwide are attracted to this excellent brand. Congrats, Michael...your website is an unequivocal success!!
Best regards, Jim

Hi Michael,
You're right, the Russians do seem to enjoy IWC content. In fact they've taken elements from this forum. I discovered that one of my posts and photos has been referenced on a Russian site.
I was concerned at first, then realized what a treasure trove of Big Pilot images it represented.

[/QUOTE] That is indeed a nice achievement. It is nice to see that there is an intrest still for IWC in countries where IWC was known for his pocket watches. When you see today on the market, a lot of pocketwatches or mariages with pocketwatch movements inside are coming from countries like Russia, Poland,... I believe that there are still some treasures hidden in some drawers over there. Wasn't there a story here from a forum member that found a new old stock Portuguese ref 325 in Poland ?

Yes, it's Vlad himself sporting a Big Pilot while fraternizing with the future electorate!

I visited there again late last night, and again marveled at your collection and the information and facts behind it.

Well spotted IWC, but I believe it is a Mark XV on his wrist.
